| When I was age 16 I was at the dentist for a wisdom tooth problem. At one point during my treatment I passed out and my life flashed before my eyes. (This happened 42 years ago so be thankful for modern dentistry.) During the time I was passed out I reviewed in my mind hundreds of events in my past. I was out for about 45 seconds. When I went home I told my mother I remember lying in a basket looking up to the roof of a car and a girl was looking down at me. Then I was carried through an old wood screen door with green, peeling paint. I was set on the floor next to a glossy white wall. I saw a ladies dress with small triangles on it. People were talking and hugging. I could tell they were happy and I felt happy, too. After I related this to my mother she told me this happened when our family took a trip to Florida. My sister took care of me in the back seat and I was in the basket she bought for this purpose. The door was the back door of an aunt's house in South Carolina. The white wall was my aunt's refrigerator and the dress was my mother's favorite dress to travel in. She said I was 5 months old.
